The Name
One random afternoon back in October 2014, Timothy sat outside basking in the midday sun, with two of his friends—Dennis Atunga and Daniel . As they talked about the future, he told them that he was going to start a bespoke digital company.
When they asked him what he’d call it, he paused and said, “Something that speaks to our friendship, I want it to be authentic and African. Kihingu... yeah… rhymes with Mawingu!”
Nothing deep.
Within a few month's time, Kihingu was registered as a limited company and sealed its first web design contract in November that year.
Years later, founding partners Timothy Radier and James Mathiu, still believe they are a genuine hybrid of the different disciplines, equally experienced in digital design and solution development, and with the technical understanding required to deliver robust digital solutions and user experience with flair.
